In its 13th year, the Alexander Hamilton Fun Run honors the life of Coach Kim's favorite founding father on the day of his fatal duel with Aaron Burr. We start at his gravesite at Trinity Church, run up to Central Park, passing by the Alexander Hamilton statue near the Metropolitan Museum, then up through Harlem, finishing at St. Nicholas park near City College, the site of his home, the Grange.
The journey includes 12 miles of running (though you are welcome to bike it), and we pace between a 9 and 10-min mile, with pauses for photos along the way. We will also stop at the Hamilton statue to pick up other runners at around 6:45 am who run the last 3.5 miles with us.
Once again, the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society will be joining us at the Grange as we arrive and cool down.
